You might be finding yourself feeling low or a bit anxious, sad and maybe lonely. You might be having pressures at work, or with family or your partner and confused about the impact this is having on you. You could be struggling with the loss of someone close or even just fed up feeling something isn't quite right but not sure what to do.

You might be having pressures at work, or with family or your partner and confused about the impact this is having on you. You could be struggling with the loss of someone close or even just fed up feeling something isn't quite right but not sure what to do. My aim is to provide you with somewhere safe and confidential in which to explore the reasons why you decided to seek some support at this time and the initial session will be a place to explore this. It will also provide a space in which to establish what you might like to gain from therapy and how we may work together and how long for.
A longer term commitment to therapy offers the opportunity to explore in more depth what may be troubling you. Meeting once weekly at the same time for 50 minutes in a warm, friendly and non-judgemental setting can provide an enriching environment in which to seek change. Taking a relational stance I will be an active role walking by you

Meeting once weekly at the same time for 50 minutes in a warm, friendly and non-judgemental setting can provide an enriching environment in which to seek change. Taking a relational stance I will be an active role walking by your side while addressing subject matter you wish to bring to the work. If you are unsure what you need or would like at this time, or are uncertain in any way about counselling, these concerns can be discussed at our first session where we can agree what you might like from counselling and how we may work together.
A shorter term commitment can provide the chance to work in a more solution focussed way if there is a particular issue that may be troubling you and is usually around 6 to 12 sessions. Although I prefer to work longer term with clients I do see benefits from shorter term work particularly if you have specific areas that you would like to

After working in the City in investment banks for nearly 16 years I decided to make a change. I felt I wanted something different from my life so I decided to retrain in psychotherapy and I am dedicated, enthusiastic and committed to the positive impact personal therapy can have on the quality of your life.
I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute. I am accredited with the leading industry body for psychotherapists, the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a registered psychotherapist with the BACP (MBACP). I have had diverse experience and training in multiple approaches, settings and client groups spread over ten plus years. I take an integrative approach to psychotherapy which means I pull upon these various techniques allowing me to tend to individual needs using specific tools the disciplines offer. I work on an open-ended, longer term basis and also a time-limited basis where specific goals and concerns can be focussed on. I believe that establishing a safe, trusting and mutually respectful relationship between therapist and client is vital to the outcome of the therapy. I believe in therapy being a collaborative experience between the therapist and client and I am respectful and mindful of the life experience the client brings and how we work with that together.
I hope to create a safe space for you to explore what it is that has brought you to seek therapy at this time.
